Otis-Oakley Iron & Supply was originally founded by Alex Weinstein and Henry Kay in 1947. Alex's father, Sam Weinstein, started in the scrap metal business at the turn of the century by peddling scrap on the northwest side of Chicago from a horse and wagon . Today, Otis-Oakley is owned and operated by Alex's sons Michael Weinstein and Robert Weinstein. At Otis-Oakley we have expanded from being strictly scrap metal processors into an industrial plant and equipment demolition/dismantling operation servicing the Midwestern United States industrial and commercial property community. We specialize in the dismantling of industrial plants and heavy machinery. We will handle everything from the dismantling to the removal of unwanted equipment and machinery. We have removed items as small as boilers to as large as a 500 ton steam generator from a nuclear power plant in Indiana.Otis-Oakley Iron & Supply is also a scrap metal and used machinery & equipment dealer.
